International Coatings Company: Axeon UltraMix 1200 Series N ew from International Coatings Company (ICC) is the Axeon UltraMix 1200 Series Non-PVC Pantone Colour System, which the company says is “groundbreaking” because it can be printed just like regular plastisol inks. The series consists of 19 colours plus an extender base; ICC’s online Pantone colour- matching software makes it easy to mix any colour accurately. These creamy and smooth inks have been formulated for high speed, wet-on-wet automatic printing and can be used with both standard and fine mesh counts. “We took particular care to develop this first of its kind non-PVC colour matching system,” says Mark Brouillard, ICC’s print product manager. “This new system has plastisol-like functionality and doesn’t require the printer to compromise performance and appearance.” ICC has also redeveloped its 717 Ultimate Black, a non-phthalate, creamy ink that promises “excellent opacity, outstanding print performance and a matte finish”. www.iccink.com
