PRINTING INKS
Xpres: Sawgrass Sublijet-HD Fluorescent Inks “D ecorators can now add exciting fluorescent colours to their graphics with Sawgrass’s new Sublijet-HD fluorescent inks for the JV628 25”, 8-colour product decorating system,” says Xpres. The new 8-colour ink set adds fluorescent yellow and pink cartridges to the CMYK LC and LM configuration. Xpres says that sublimation decorators using the new inks have a “true multi- purpose solution” for a wider range of applications than is possible with a traditional CMYK ink set-up. “The fluorescent inks appeal to decorators who wish to add the excitement and visibility of fluorescent colours to their capabilities,” Xpres comments. “The inks provide a pre- configured colour palette of 16 fluorescent colours that can be loaded directly to the desired design software. Sublijet-HD fluorescent inks deliver superior quality and vibrant results.” www.xpres.co.uk
Resolute Print Group: Resolute Ink “R esolute Print Group’s ink offering is one of the broadest available,” says the company. “It has skilfully developed its own range of Resolute Ink products, manufactured in the UK at Mexar, a co-owned partner, and brought the latest in inks to market from the US through its strong partnership with US-based Image Armor (IA).” Its latest development is a 6-colour range of DTG textile inks for Ricoh industrial print heads. Designed for use in high-end DTG printers, the new ink is said to offer a fantastic colour gamut benefitting from an orange and green spot colour. “Using a 6-colour ink set coupled with high opacity white ink, high-end DTG printers also benefit from faster curing times and greater durability in the wash,” explains Resolute. Another ink due to hit the European market is the IA series for Brother DTG printers. “Currently on its way over the pond, this ink offers incredible value for money whilst benefitting from the IA 35-second curing time and durability in the wash.” www.resoluteink.co.uk
Kiian inks are available from Sabur Inks Systems
Sabur Ink Systems: Kiian Digital Inks “S abur is proud to boast that we partner with Kiian Digital, one of the world’s largest producers of digital inks,” says Dean Sanger, managing director of Sabur. Kiian Digital (formally Manoukian) has a brand new, state of the art manufacturing plant in northern Italy which Sabur says produces “world class, leading products”. “Their attention to detail in the design of their bespoke ink manufacturing plant ensures that to produce the very best ink quality, the ink has to pass through several quality assurance check points and is signed off by several key personnel on each and every batch before production is released to their bottling plant,” says Dean. “I’d like to say producing digital textile inks isn’t rocket science, but it pretty much is.” According to Dean, Kiian invests heavily in research and development, and works together with head manufacturers to ensure that they remain “a world leading supplier of textile printing inks”. www.sublimationinks.com
